It is the year 4027 AD. Mankind has made it possible to travel beyond their home galaxy to the far reaches of space. In the Charlu galaxy, on the edge of known space, crime lords and thugs run the government. Walkers, legged machines with weapons and armor, have become common among the government for keeping the peace. However, mercenaries, pirates, bounty hunters, and few commoners have gotten their hands on them, allowing them to fight back at the corrupt law enforcers. Among the mercenaries with Walkers in their possession are Star 3, a group of people that hide out from the government and perform any kind of job to make money, as long as they think it's right.
